Do You Drink Too Much Coffee?

1. Finding a toonie is exciting because you know that gets you a medium cup of something from Timmies.

2. You know the coffee at Starbucks really is not that great...but every other type of drink is a cup of heaven.

3.When you get stressed and say "I could use a drink", you really mean "I need an extra large of the best coffee I can find"

4.You once replied to the standard barista question, “What drink can I get started for you today?” with “Yes.”

5. Sheridan coffee lines stand no match for you. Waiting 20 minutes? Cake...

6. You get jealous of others when they bring in a coffee to class.

7. You wake up 15 minutes earlier to make coffee at home.

8. Otherwise, you avoid looking at your bank statements at how much you've spent at coffee shops.

9. In your opinion, one of the greatest gestures of true love is when your significant other has your coffee order memorized.

10. Someone once told you that they’re “just not a coffee person” and you had to make a mental note never to trust that person again.

11.  17. You have a very serious opinion as to where you stand in the Pumpkin Spice Latte debate. *Conclusion: disgusting...

12. You can joke about it all you want, and say “yeah, I toootally need to cut back,” while simultaneously crossing your fingers behind your back and thinking, “when I’m dead.”

New Years Resolutions...A Little Late

Tons of things changed for me in 2013, both positive and negative.

I'm so excited for this year though. My biggest goal is to finally become a vegan, sounds unrealistic and hard but after tons of research it will completely be worth it. I've been a vegetarian for about 4 months now, and surprisingly have no problems with it. People always question me when I tell them that I want to be a vegan..."How will you get protein"..."That's really unhealthy, you know" and the list goes on. I have an answer for every single question but I won't go that far into detail, lol.

Everyone always picks ONE goal to work on for the New Year, but here is my second...

To put my phone down.
I am addicted to my phone and realized it when I saw this really pretty sunset when I was at a cottage in the summer, my first thought was to Instagram it. Like really? I need to learn, better yet, teach myself that my phone is not everything. To take every moment as it and let my memory remember something rather than my Instagram and how many "likes" I receive. There's actually a commercial we all had to watch in Layout last semester I believe (not sure on the class), but it depicted a young lady at a bunch of events; a birthday, dinner party, on a hike, etc, and everyone else in the commercial was using their phones but her. Everyone was either texting someone, or taking a picture of the moment or completely talking to someone else on the phone. It made me laugh because that's literally what everyone does now.

I kid you not, I make my boyfriend and I leave our phones in the car when we go out for dinner.

Obviously I'm all for taking photography of whatever you want, but our generation is at a new extreme. Social media is growing so fast and is almost a necessity to have and be educated on but actual and honest communication between people is so rare now. "Hi, we need to talk" means, let me send you this massive text on how I feel. (?!?!?!!!!)

Anyways, I'm rambling.
Two goals: become a vegan, and live in the moment

Thanks for reading,
